Dear TFFDreamteam Fans,

It is with our deepest sorrow that we write here to inform you that the TFFDreamteam game will not run in 2022 and most likely will not return at all.

We've been hard at work over the last couple of weeks trying to repair the game engine caused by an essential server upgrade. The move to server upgrade of PHP7.2 was long long overdue and we'd left it as long as possible keeping TFFDreamteam on PHP5.6.

The TFFDreamteam game, as those regular players will have known, was very old and was launched in 2007 and has barely changed since. It was originally built FREE for our Tennis For Free Charity by CleverCherry web design company as an alternative charitable donation to us. The server upgrade was unavoidable as the server version was so old it was unstable and potentially could have compromised user data had it remained.

We remained hopeful that we could fix the system but our IT team working on the switch over had just too many functions and processes that the game relied on that were long ago removed on the later PHP software versions. We were having a domino effect on breaking things as we were seemingly fixing others.

Despite this bad news, we remain hopeful that the game may one day return in a newer and fresher format in line with modern web and app technology keeping the same values and scoring system that everyone has grown to enjoy. If any of our TFFDreamteam fans are in an IT sector and would relish this opportunity to revive our game engine, we'd love to work with you and could perhaps disclose the existing system to work from. Equally, any individuals in a position to help us revive the system, we'd love to hear from you too. We hope to be back one day better than ever before.

Lastly, we'd like to take this opportunity to say a huge thanks to all of you for participating in the game over the 15 years that we have been operating. We've raised many thousands of pounds that have helped TFF deliver free schemes in under-privileged areas on the back of your donations. We'd like to say a special thank you to the Fox Club Hotel, London for donating prizes over many years and to all of the other individuals and businesses that donated prizes. We'd like to thank Ronnie Graham and Andy Murray Fan Forum for providing operational and admin support of the game and also to the various community forums and administrators, such as Fiso Forum, who have covered our game in their forum for many years ultimately resulting in many hundreds of players and related donations from their forum. There are too many specific people and groups to mention here for thanks, but please accept our wholehearted apologies and general thanks for the support over the many many years.

We sincerely hope this is not the end for TFFDreamteam and hope you'll still enjoy the tennis grand slams without us this year.

Best Regards

Paul Jessop
